PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base illumination system of a tunnel which can reduce power consumption of base illumination and can steplessly control the amount of irradiation of an illuminator.SOLUTION: In a basic illumination system of a tunnel which secures fixed brightness by a lighting fixture arranged at predetermined intervals over the entire length of the tunnel, an LED illuminator is used as the lighting fixture 1. The LED illuminator is connected to an illumination control section 3 which takes in data from an outdoor luminance meter 2 and data from a road surface luminance meter 5 in the tunnel, and steplessly controls the amount of irradiation of the LED illuminator based on the data. One kind or two kinds or more of a monitoring camera device 11, a smoke transmittance measuring instrument 12, a traffic volume measuring instrument 13 and a power consumption measuring instrument 14 can be also connected to the illumination control section 3. |
