PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently photocure a photocurable resin composition between a light-shielding layer and an image display member while preventing elimination of the photocurable resin composition from therebetween without using a thermal polymerization process, to cancel a step between the light-shielding layer and the surface of a light transmissive cover member, and to manufacture an image display apparatus only by a photopolymerization process, when an image display apparatus is manufactured by stacking the image display member and the light transmissive cover member arranged on the surface side of the image display member through a curable resin layer of the photocurable resin composition.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the image display apparatus includes: applying a liquid photocurable resin composition containing no thermal polymerization initiator on the surface of a light transmissive cover member including a light-shielding layer or the surface of an image display member so as to be thicker than a thickness of the light-shielding layer; irradiating the applied photocurable resin composition with ultraviolet rays in that state to temporarily cure the photocurable resin composition, and forming a temporarily cured resin layer; and stacking the image display member and the light transmissive cover member through the temporarily cured resin layer, irradiating the temporarily cured resin layer with the ultraviolet rays to finally cure the temporarily cured resin layer, and forming a light transmissive curable resin layer. |
