The capacitor (100) has a capacitor unit e.g. capacitor winding, arranged in a housing (110). Bus bars (204, 206) and contact rails (112, 114) are guided in the housing, and electrically conductively connected with respective electrode terminals of the capacitor unit. The bus bars and the contact rails are designed as pressed screens. The capacitor unit, the bus bars, and the contact rails are connected with each other by a casting compound. A side wall (220) of the housing is formed by the casting compound. The bus bars are integrated in the capacitor. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an energy supply device (2) a method for manufacturing a capacitor.
