<p>Disclosed are a method, device, and system for sending a trigger message. The method comprises: upon receiving a terminal trigger message sent by a machine type communication (MTC) application server, an interworking function (IWF) obtaining subscription information indicating whether the terminal subscribes to supporting packet service (PS) only, and according to the subscription information of the terminal, selecting a manner supported by the terminal to send the trigger message. The present invention selects the suitable message sending manner according to the message reception capability of the terminal, so as to ensure that the trigger message can be sent to the terminal, thereby avoiding failure in sending the trigger message and avoiding attempts after the failure in sending the trigger message.</p> |
