<p>In order to enable a smooth compression operation even in the state in which a lateral load is acting on a drive shaft, a scroll-type fluid machine is provided with: a housing (1); a fixed scroll (7) which is configured by vertically installing a fixed lap (71) formed in the housing (1); a bearing case (5) which is affixed to the back side of the housing (1); a drive shaft (6) which is rotatably and pivotally supported in the bearing case (5) and has an eccentric shaft part (61) in the front part thereof; a driven pulley (12) which is secured to a back end protruding from the back part of the bearing case (5) and over which a transmission belt (17) is looped; and an orbiting scroll (8) which is pivotally supported by the eccentric shaft part (61), and has an orbiting lap (81) meshing with the fixed lap (71) on a surface facing the fixed scroll (7), and a leg part (54) affixed to a pedestal (20) is formed fixedly on or integrally with the lower part of the baring case (5).</p> |
