PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web winding method and a device configured to prevent a defect such as a flaw or a winding shift in high-speed conveyance when winding a continuously traveling web in a winding roll form so that a winding roll having good quality is stably obtained.SOLUTION: A winding method includes: a winding step of winding a web by a winding roll; a depressurization step of depressurizing a space formed by the winding roll and a web immediately before being wound and a space adjacent thereto by a depressurization mechanism; a measurement step of measuring a winding diameter of the winding roll; and a depressurization mechanism arrangement step of arranging a suction port of the depressurization mechanism always at a position closest to a winding point where the web comes into contact with the winding roll in a range not interfering with the web or the winding roll on the basis of the data of the winding diameter of the winding roll obtained from the measurement step. The winding step, the depressurization step, the measurement step, and the depressurization mechanism arrangement step are simultaneously performed. |
