After molding a first coating layer (2) on abrasive CBN grains (1), coated particles (4) are manufactured by forming a second coating layer (3), which undergoes plastic deformation at a smaller pressure than the first coating layer (2), on the outside of the first coating layer (2). The pressure when compression molding to a prescribed shape using the coated abrasive grains (4) is set to be a pressure at or above the pressure for plastic deformation of the second coating layer (3). As a result of said pressurization, the second coating layer (3) deforms and flows, the first coating layers (2) contact each other, and a molding (6) of a structure wherein the fluidized second coating layers (3) have moved into the spaces between the coated abrasive grains (4) is molded. By sintering same, the abrasive CBN grains (1) are dispersed at a prescribed distance that is determined by the size of the outer radius of the first coating layer (2) and a grindstone provided with a structure wherein holes are disposed therebetween at an intended density can be manufactured. |
