The track portion has a supporting part formed as a concrete sleeper (24) or ribbed slab (26). An elastic element (30) is arranged between a foot portion of a core (10) and the supporting part and at distance (X) from an unstressed core surface of the supporting part and a driving surface of the core. The elastic element exhibits a spring characteristic and is partially extended in one or more recesses (28) of the supporting part and/or the foot portion of the core. The elastic element exhibits thickness and elasticity such that the distance is unchanged when the core is unstressed. An independent claim is also included for a method for changing elastic properties of a track portion.
