The valve (10) comprises a valve piston (14), which is moved between a locking position of a fluid connection from a supply port (P) to a working port (A) and a partial release position of the fluid communication. A fluid passage (16,35) is provided in the valve piston for supplying pilot fluid from the supply port to a pilot chamber (28). The ratio of flow cross-sections of the two fluid passages is selected, such that the pilot fluid discharged from the pilot chamber in the latter position of a pilot piston (20) is guided through the former fluid passage to the latter fluid passage.
