PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engagement device that enables rapid engagement.SOLUTION: An engagement device 1 axially engages an engaging body 2 and an engaged body 3 arranged around a rotation axis. The engagement device 1 includes: a fork 4 for applying thrust on the engaging body 2 in an axial direction; a conversion means (a guide member 5 of the engaging body 2 and a guide spline 6 of the guide member 5) for converting some of the thrust by the fork 4 into torque in a direction where a differential rotation with the engaged body 3 is reduced; and a control means (an ECU 8) for controlling the thrust generated by the fork 4 on the basis of a differential rotation between the engaging body 2 and the engaged body 3. |
