PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a board transportation method in a component mounting system capable of increasing the productivity of boards by causing a board to wait at an appropriate position according to the length of the board.SOLUTION: A component mounting system includes two neighboring component mounting apparatuses 4 configured to have a component mounting apparatus 4 located at the downstream side having a feeder conveyor 13b and a component mounting apparatus 4 located at the upstream side having a take-out conveyor 13c. A feeding side board detector 17b provided to the component mounting apparatus 4 at the downstream side detects the front end of a board 2 to cause the board 2 to wait at a board waiting position. When a feeding-side board detector 17b provided to the component mounting apparatus 4 at the downstream side detects the front end of a board 2, the component mounting apparatus 4 at the upstream side stops the take-out conveyor 13c of its own from operating to cause the board 2 to wait at the board waiting position. |
