FEED UNIT MECHANISM ON A HARVESTING MACHINE

A crop harvesting machine (10) having a crop harvesting mechanism for moving a crop feed unit (4) on the front of the machine from a raised working position to a lowered access position to provide access to crop processing equipment (2) in the front of the machine. The mechanism comprises lower links (8) which are pivotably attached to the machine and the unit. The lower links (8) pivot to lower a part of the crop feed unit (4) to come into contact with the ground. The lower links (8) are moveable by actuating means (12) to pivot the unit about a ground contact point to give access to the crop processing equipment (2) in the front of the machine.
