PURPOSE: An object is to provide a secondary battery electrode which can lower the tension on the surface of a cathode or an anode of a secondary battery, thereby preventing the exfoliation or collapse of an electrode layer and suppressing internal short-circuits of the secondary battery. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery electrode has a stacked electrode made by alternately laminating a cathode (10), a separator (30), and an anode and a fixing unit (40) locking the stacked electrode in the laminating direction. As for the rigidity of at least one of the cathode and the anode confronting the separator, the neighboring part of the fixing unit is higher than the distant part. The rigidity of at least one of the cathode and the anode is adjusted when rendering the surface roughness of at least one of the cathode and the anode confronting the separator to be higher in the distant part of the fixing part than in the neighboring part. |
