PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner excellent in heat-resistant storage property of the toner and in glossiness of a printed matter, through controlling toner particle size distribution to be uniform.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for manufacturing an electrophotographic toner including particles fusing aggregation particles obtained through aggregating aqueous dispersion of a polyester resin for the toner. The aqueous dispersion is obtained through the steps 1-4, and 70-100 weight% of all addition amount of a surfactant is mixed in the step 2 and/or the step 4. The steps 1-4 include: the step 1 of mixing at least the polyester resin, an organic solvent and a neutralizer to obtain a mixture; the step 2 of mixing at least water to the mixture obtained at the step 1 to obtain the resin dispersion; the step 3 of removing the organic solvent from the resin dispersion obtained at the step 2 to obtain aqueous dispersion of the polyester resin; and the step 4 of mixing the surfactant to the aqueous dispersion obtained at the step 3. |
