PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device that prevents defective recognition at mutual recognition between a host and a device that are compatible with the USB standard.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device makes cascade-connecting each of sources or drains of a plurality of first conductive type MOS transistors. The source or drain of the first stage first conductive type MOS transistor of the cascade-connected first conductive type MOS transistors is regarded as a first terminal, and the source or drain of the last stage first conductive type MOS transistor of the cascade-connected first conductive type MOS transistors is regarded as a second terminal. The semiconductor device comprises: an inter-terminal opening/closing unit for receiving a control signal to control opening or short-circuiting between the first and second terminals from each gate of the cascade-connected first conductive type MOS transistors; and a current bypass unit for reducing current flowing through any of connection nodes connecting each of the sources or drains of the cascade-connected first conductive type MOS transistors. |
