PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a white floating phenomenon due to hot carriers while maintaining the linearity and the gain characteristics of an output signal or without increase in the usage number of transistors and increase in circuit size and circuit area.SOLUTION: A solid-state imaging device includes: a photoelectric conversion section for generating signal charges according to the amount of received light; a transfer section for transferring the signal charges generated by the photoelectric conversion section; a storage section for storing the signal charges transferred by the transfer section from the photoelectric conversion section; a reset section to which a reference voltage is inputted; a switch section for switching connection between the storage section and the reset section; a source follower circuit connected to the storage section; an output circuit outputting a voltage signal according to the signal charges stored in the storage section; and a reference-voltage control section for changing the reference voltage according to the operating state of the solid-state imaging device.
