The torsional vibration damper (1) has a traction sheave (5) with a hollow annular beaded rim (6). The traction sheave is rotatably fixed at the end of the crankshaft protruding out of an engine block. Two counter bearings (7,8) are arranged at the hollow annular beaded rim of the traction sheave. The counter bearings comprise central openings (9), which are adapted to the mounting pins of a crankshaft locking tool. The hollow annular beaded rim is filled with a closed porous rigid foam (13).
