PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surveillance camera system that can be expected to give assistance after occurrence of an accident or the like and to facilitate early resolution of the accident or the like when the accident or the like occurs, and that allows an operator to check and analyze video in real time.SOLUTION: A surveillance device in a surveillance camera system comprising portable surveillance devices for respectively surveying a plurality of surveillance visual fields comprises: an image processing device which detects an object by image processing video taken by a surveillance camera, detects a first feature quantity of the detected object, and extracts a face image; and a video recording device which pre-registers a second feature quantity to search for an object with a search list, and records video taken by the surveillance camera. The image processing device checks the second feature quantity with the first feature quantity, and if the first and second feature quantities accord or are similar, it transmits the second feature quantity together with the extracted face image to another surveillance device or a prescribed terminal by wireless LAN communication means. |
