PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for producing a glass chopped strand mat that can be used in a molded ceiling material of a recent automobile having high designability and reduced weight, specifically a glass chopped strand mat having a low basis weight and high quality.SOLUTION: The method for producing the glass chopped strand mat formed by forming glass chopped strands S into a sheet shape which are obtained by cutting a glass fiber F, comprises: an arranging step of arranging the glass chopped strands S while dropping the glass chopped strands S in a chamber 10; and an adjusting step of adjusting a dropping state of the glass chopped strands S. The chamber 10 comprises a plurality of supply parts 20 for supplying the glass chopped strands S, and partition members 2 for separating the plurality of supply parts 20 from each other. The adjusting step is conducted so as not to bring the glass chopped strands S into contact with the partition members 2 while the glass chopped strands S are dropped. |
