PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which: in a conventional method, a resolution feeling of an overlapped area is impaired due to large positional deviation between projection images, and a resolution feeling is impaired particularly when an image including a high-frequency component is displayed because the positional deviation itself cannot be reduced in the first place.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus according to the present invention includes: means for acquiring multi-viewpoint captured image data obtained by capturing projection images by a plurality of image projection means, and creating high-resolution image data on the basis of the multi-viewpoint captured image data when the screen resolution of the image projection means is larger than the number of pixels of a projection area of the image projection means; and means for performing alignment between the projection images by using the created high-resolution image data. |
