The present invention relates to a multilayer structure-based image coding and decoding method. The present invention provides a method of using an intra prediction mode of a corresponding block of a lower layer in intra-frame predictive coding of a target block of an upper layer to increase coding efficiency and decrease complexity by removing redundancy from interlayer intra prediction mode information.
