The method involves providing a test apparatus (1) which has a multi-face curved upper surface (2) around curvature axes (5,6), where each curvature has a predetermined curvature value around curvature axes. The flat fiber semi-finished product is draped on the multi-face curved upper surface of the test apparatus. A fiber incineration is determined between the fibers of the fiber semi-finished product. The incineration characteristics are determined depending on the curvature value of a curvature of the multi-face curved upper surface and the determined fiber incineration between the fibers.
