The method involves dividing successive segments (4-7) associated with supporting locations (8-10, 12, 14, 21a, 21b, 22, 23), and storing information related to geometric shapes of the divided segments. A curve (1) of a road section is reconstructed by rectilinearly connecting a subset of supporting locations as a desired imaging accuracy is less than predetermined limit accuracy. The curve is computed based on the geometric shapes of segments and a position of the associated supporting locations.
