<p>A disability threshold (10, fig 4) of a doorway has an outwardly projecting cill portion (10a, fig 4) forming a ramp suitable for access by a wheelchair. The threshold and projecting cill portion are made from plastic, or synthetic low thermal conductivity material, or non-timber, or non-metallic material. The projecting cill may be hollow with a webbed structure (15, fig 5) made from one-piece extrusion. The cill may be capable of being part-filled with foam, such as polyurethane, and may have integral weather seals (13,14, fig 5) and internal drainage means H.</p> |
