PURPOSE: An engine control unit of construction equipment is provided to use a jog shuttle at a time of malfunction or disorder of an engine control dial, thereby controlling the rotation number of engine. CONSTITUTION: An engine control unit of construction equipment includes an engine control dial (10), a jog shuttle (20), an engine controller (40), and an equipment controller (50). The engine control dial is manually operated, and generates a control signal that increases and decreases the rotation number of engine. The jog shuttle includes a jog switch that is manually rotated or pressured by a user, and generates a selection signal that selects and changes the corresponding functions to various operation modes. The engine controller controls so that the engine is corresponded to the control signal that is generated by the engine control dial. The equipment controller is applied from one of control signal generated from the engine control dial and a control signal that is corresponded to the rotation operation and the pressure operation of the jog switch, and provides the engine rotation number value that corresponds to the applied control signal of the engine rotation number values that corresponds to the respective control signals for the engine controller.
