ENCODING AND DECODING METHOD FOR VIDEO INFORMATION

PURPOSE: A video information encoding method and a computer-readable recording medium are provided to infer the motion information of current block by using a decoding unit or the partition information of a prediction unit, thereby lowering the complexity of the video compression processing. CONSTITUTION: An encoder obtains the motion information of peripheral block from the peripheral block of current block, and determines the motion information of the current block based on the obtained motion information (S2010). The encoder entropy encodes the information about the prediction result (S2020). The encoder transmits the entropy encoded information to a decoder through the bit stream (S2030). The encoder transmits the information which is necessary for the prediction of the current block together when transmitting the entropy encoded information.
