A boiler system 2 comprises a waste oil burner 4, a combustion chamber 6, a boiler inner 8 and outer 10, at least one elongate duct 68, and a flue 72. The side wall 60 of the combustion chamber and the side wall 62 of the boiler inner define a first cavity 64 in fluid connection with the combustion chamber. The side walls of the boiler inner and the boiler outer define a second cavity 66 water jacket , through which water is circulated. Each elongate duct is arranged to pass through the second cavity, where each duct is in fluid connection with the first cavity. The flue is provided in fluid connection with each elongate duct, and the flue includes an exhaust 74 in fluid connection with the exterior. In use, when waste oil combusts in the waste oil burner, the heated gases given off during combustion move along a flow path defined between the combustion chamber and the flue, and in so doing facilitate the heating of the water. In a further aspect a boiler system is disclosed, where a boiler comprises a pot burner 14 adapted to burn waste fuel with a density range of 0.81 0.94 kg/litre. |
