The invention is directed to a photovoltaic module, to a method for preparing a photovoltaic module and to the use of a photovoltaic module. The photovoltaic module of the invention comprises
- a panel comprising at least one photovoltaic cell, and preferably a string of connected photovoltaic cells, and
- a layer of encapsulation material covering at least the light-incident side of the panel, wherein said encapsulation material comprises a transparent composite material comprising a fibre-reinforced thermoplastic polymer. |
