A cord release clip for a window covering, for example a blind, includes two cases 12 14 engaged together to form a shell with a top opening 16. At least one case is provided with a guiding member 13 at a top thereof located at a junction of the cases and having a guiding face 13a with a convex surface facing the centre of the opening. Therefore, the guiding member may lead the cords to opposite sides of the top opening, which are located away from the junction of the case, to disengage the cases easily. Also claimed is an release clip formed of two cases with an opening in the top, one case having a first and second bores in its bottom and the other case having a third bore in its bottom, the cord passing through the first, third and second bores in sequence. The blind release comes apart when a child or person gets their head stuck between the cords and is strangled, thus preventing them killing themselves. |
