The grandstand (1) has a set of seating and/or standing place rows (145) rising in a stepped manner and accessible via an access route (12) that bridges a height difference between the seating and/or standing place rows. A gradient (126) of the seating and/or standing place rows and a gradient (125) of the access route enclose an angle of about 20-90 degree such that the gradient of the access route comprises a component that extends parallel to a direction (17) of the seating and/or standing place rows and runs towards the seating and/or standing place rows.
