In the honing method, multiple individual machining processes lead to downtime due to the tool change. The novel honing tool enables a multiple honing machining process by means of one tool without a change in the machining center. Depending on the position of a mechanical control slide (9), one or more further tool cones (5) are intermittently individually impinged upon by a non-solid medium in a pressure line (10) by means of a feed (8) and thus controlled. Said system can be used especially advantageously in machining centers (MCs).
