A variable valve system is provided to open and close a valve with a low lift mode by rotating a low lift cam through the separation of an outer body and an inner body. A variable valve system comprises a high lift cam(110), a low lift cam(120), an outer body(200) contacting with the high lift cam, an inner body(300) reciprocating up and down inside the outer body, connected to the valve; a lost motion spring(400) provided between the outer body and the inner body; and a joining part joining the outer body and the inner body selectively. The inner body is selectively in contact with the low lift cam. |
