COLORANT, COLORING COMPOSITION, COLOR FILTER AND DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A coloring composite is provided to form a coloring layer which is able to have both of the high heat resistance and the good voltage holding rate. CONSTITUTION: A coloring composite is comprised of the followings: a xanthene system coloring agent having the polymerizable unsaturated group in a chromogenic unit; a binder resin; and a cross-linking agent. The xanthene coloring agent has a structure represented by the chemical formula (1). A color filter is comprised of a coloring layer which is formed by using the coloring composite. A display device comprises the color filter.
