BLENDS OF PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED NITRILE RUBBER AND SILICONE RUBBER, VULCANIZABLE MIXTURES AND VULCANIZATES BASED THEREON

Producing a rubber blend, comprises mixing together at least one partially hydrogenated nitrile rubber and at least one vinyl group-containing silicone rubber in the presence of a metathesis catalyst, which is a complex catalyst based on a metal of 6th or 8th transition group and exhibits at least one carbene on a metal-bound ligand. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the rubber blend based on at least one partially hydrogenated nitrile rubber and at least one vinyl group-containing silicone rubber obtained by the above mentioned method; (2) a vulcanizable mixture comprising the rubber blend and at least one peroxidic crosslinking system; (3) producing the vulcanizate, comprising subjecting the vulcanizable mixture to a crosslinking reaction by increasing the temperature; and (4) the vulcanizate based on at least one partially hydrogenated nitrile rubber and at least one vinyl group-containing silicone rubber obtained by the above mentioned method.
