PURPOSE: A sensor for detecting monosaccharides is provided to effectively and safely detect monosaccharides such as glucose by forming a complex of boric acid which exists on the surface of a poly-5,2':5',2''terthiopene-3'-carboxylic acid (pTTCA)-modified electrode and monosaccharides such as glucose. CONSTITUTION: A sensor for detecting monosaccharides is modified by a conductive polymer and boric acid on the surface of an electrode. The conductive polymer is (pTTCA). The boric acid is amino-phenyl boric acid (APBA). Monosaccharides are detected using the sensor. The monosaccharides are selected among glucose, galactose, mannose, fucose, xylose, and fructose. |
