PURPOSE: An electric storage device is provided to obtain sufficient strength for a protrusion and the surrounding parts thereof. CONSTITUTION: An electric storage device includes a metal component (2) having a protrusion (2b) erected on a metal plate, as a part of a housing (101). The protrusion includes a can-shaped part which is placed in an erect direction crossing over the metal plate; and a can-shaped prop part which is placed from the metal plate to the can-shaped part and has a wall thickness thicker than the wall thickness of the can-shaped part.
