PURPOSE: An indoor location detecting system and a method thereof are provided to determine the location of a mobile terminal through the comparison between first signal information and second signal information. CONSTITUTION: A signal information generator (120) produces second signal information which includes received signal strength between a mobile terminal and multiple access points (AP). A reference point selecting part (130) selects reference points of K according to similarity of first signal information and the second signal information based on the first signal information and the second signal information of multiple reference points. A weighted value administration part (140) gives a weighted value for each reference points of K. A location determination part (150) determines the location of the mobile terminal based on the location information of the reference points of K and the weighted value.
