PURPOSE: An image processing method for a three-dimensional video and a device thereof are provided to extend a foreground area and to increase the resolution of a first depth image by applying a dilation filter in the up-sampling process of the first depth image. CONSTITUTION: An image processing device identifies a first depth image (1301). The image processing device samples the first depth image as a second depth image (1302). The image processing device eliminates the artifacts of an edge area in the second depth image (1303). The image processing device extends the foreground area of the second depth image (1304).
