发明名称 Improvements in or relating to lighter construction
摘要
727,094. Gas-fuelled lighters. RONSON ART METAL WORKS, Inc. March 4, 1953 [June 12, 1952], No. 5999/53. Class 75 (3). The rate of flow of the gas to the burner of a cigarette lighter utilizing butane or other gas fuel under pressure, e.g. liquefied gas, is determined by a body of metal such as sintered brass particles formed with fine interconnected pores which collectively conduct the gas through said body placed in the gas feed conduit to the burner. As shown a piece 31 of porous sintered metal capable, e.g. of excluding from its passages particles of about 0.0005 inches in diameter is placed in a recess 30 at the entrance end of a nipple 26 feeding the burner 11 the exit end of the nipple being closed by a cushion 27 on the end of a stem 15 when depressed by a spring-pressed ball in the lighter snuffer. A filter disc 23 is provided in the gas conduit to filter the gas supply to the piece 31. This piece may be punched out of a sheet of porous metal for deposition in the recess 30 and then secured in place by pressure of a tubular tool having a rounded annular upper end surface portion so as to press radially outwards the peripheral portions of the piece 31 to provide a force fit and to adjust the size of the fine passages in the central portions 40 to provide a flame of desired size which may be obtained, during adjustment, by a flow of gas, under the conditions prevailing during use of the lighter through the central bore of the tool. Specification 291,695, [Class 75 (iii)], is referred to.
