PURPOSE: An apparatus for correcting the deflection and the wobble of a handrail for an escalator is provided to regularly maintain the tension of the handrail when operating the escalator, thereby smoothly driving a handrail driving part. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for correcting the deflection and the wobble of a handrail for an escalator includes a fixed drum (1), multiple guide rollers (3), and a fixed shaft (30). The drum forms a handrail driving part driving the handrail (10) which rotates along a certain trace. The guide rollers on frames (20) at both sides of the drum support the lower side of the handrail. The shaft protrudes from the frame. A rotatable fixed roller (40) is integrated with the end of the shaft. The roller for supporting the upper side of the handrail is inserted into a guide groove at the handrail.
