PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind turbine generator by which a merit of operation control based on a wind speed in a front remote position of the wind turbine generator can effectively be enjoyed, and to provide its operation control method.SOLUTION: A front remote position A' in which measurement by a front wind-speed measuring instrument 20 is performed is specified on the basis of at least the deviation of the front wind-speed measuring instrument 20.
