PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that stably consumes deteriorated toner by refresh operation.SOLUTION: An image forming device 1 includes: a developer housing part 37 for housing two-component developer containing toner and carrier; a developer carrier 342; a toner carrier 343 with a toner layer formed on the surface; an image carrier 31 on which a toner image is formed along the electrostatic latent image formed on the surface; an exposure part that forms a 100% solid image, a non-100% dot image, and a dummy image on the image carrier 31; an image formation control part 92 that causes the exposure part to form first and second small images; a toner concentration detection part 39 that detects toner concentration of the first and second small images and the dummy image; and a refresh operation control part 93 that causes the exposure part to form the dummy image with predetermined first area and the toner concentration suitable for target toner consumption, on the basis of the toner concentration of the first and second small images detected by the toner concentration detection part 39. |
