PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment material for jet gas from a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, provided with a function of efficiently removing carbon monoxide in the gas occurring inside the battery in abnormality of the secondary battery.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery E includes a positive polarity terminal 1 and negative polarity terminal 2, a battery case 3, and an explosion-proof valve formed on the outer peripheral face of the battery case 3, wherein an electrode body 10 is housed inside the battery case 3. The electrode body 10 has a positive collector 11, an electrode plate 12 for a positive electrode, a negative collector 13 and an electrode plate 14 for a negative electrode. The positive and negative electrode plates 12 and 14 each have the structure wound through the separator 15. A cartridge case is provided adjacent to the explosion-proof valve, and a treatment material for a jet gas from a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is housed inside the case. A mixture composition of an inorganic porous carrier and a catalytically active component is used as the treatment material for the jet gas from the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery. |
