PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage type water heater in which drainage performance of expanding water and bath-water drainage in a drain plug is improved.SOLUTION: A storage type water heater includes: a first drain pipe 51 that is connected to a lower part of a hot-water storage tank 1; a second drain pipe 13 that communicates with an upper part of the hot-water storage tank 1 and drains expanding water from a relief valve 3 for draining the expanding water; a third drain pipe 31 that drains backflow water from a backflow prevention means 10 for preventing backflow from a bath tub 28 to the hot-water storage tank 1; and a drain plug 2 having a first passage 33 connected with the first drain pipe 51, a second passage 34 connected with the second drain pipe 13, and a third passage 35 connected with the third drain pipe 31. The second passage 34 and the third passage 35 are configured to be connected to each other so that one of the center axes in the longitudinal direction in the passages is in a substantially vertical direction and the other of the center axes in the longitudinal direction is inclined at a sharp angle with respect to the vertical direction. |
