摘要 This vehicle control system is provided with: variable damping force shock absorbers, the damping forces of which can be changed; a sprung damping control means for calculating a sprung damping control amount, which is a damping force that minimizes sprung vibrations; an unsprung damping control means for calculating an unsprung damping control amount, which is a damping force that minimizes unsprung vibrations; a traveling state determination means for determining whether a vehicle is traveling straight or turning; a damping force distribution rate calculation means for calculating a damping force distribution rate for each wheel, corresponding to a target posture; and a damping force control means for controlling the damping forces of the variable damping force shock absorbers on the basis of the larger control amount among the unsprung damping control amount and the sprung damping control amount when the traveling state determination means determines that the vehicle is traveling straight, and for calculating a damping force control amount for maintaining the damping force distribution rates on the basis of the unsprung damping control amount, and controlling the damping forces of the variable damping force shock absorbers on the basis of the larger control amount among the calculated damping force control amount and the sprung damping control amount when the traveling state determination means determines that the vehicle is turning.
