The spanner (10) has a hollow cylinder (12) provided with a pawl (16) moved between a stowing position and a usage position. The pawl has mounting regions (22) brought in active connection with a slotted nut. A slider in a form of a plunger is movably held in sections in the hollow cylinder relative to the pawl in a translatory manner and coupled with the pawl. The pawl is moved between the stowing position and the usage position by the slider. A spring element is linked in the stowing position, and a magnet is provided at the pawl. The hollow cylinder is designed in form of a hollow and straight circular cylinder.
