An apparatus for separating a paper sheet and an apparatus for separating/stacking a paper sheet using the same are provided to prevent deviation of the posture of the paper sheet due to a moment by preventing movement of one side of a paper sheet due to movement of the other side of the paper sheet. An apparatus for separating a paper sheet includes a stage(3) and picker rollers(9a,9b). The stage can be reciprocally moved. The paper sheet is stacked in the stage. The picker rollers are disposed on both sides of the center line of a direction in which the paper sheet is sent to send the paper sheet. The pressing unit presses the upstream side of the direction in which the paper sheet stacked in the stage is sent from the picker rollers when the paper sheet is sent. The pressing unit is a pressing roller pressing both sides of the center line of the paper sheet. A pressing roller arm rotatably supports the pressing roller in the direction in which the paper sheet is sent. The pressing roller is disposed on the same line as the picker roller. |
