PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for drawing a metal fine wire, which can reduce a total number of dices to reduce manufacturing cost while maintaining the effect of reducing a disconnection rate, further can attain high speeding, and a method for manufacturing a bonding wire using the metal fine wire as well as a wiredrawing machine.SOLUTION: In a method for drawing a metal fine wire, a metal fine wire 10 is inserted into and passed through a plurality of dices 40-47, and the diameter of the metal fine wire is reduced incrementally by applying a drawing processing. At this time, while grouping the plurality of dices into a first, a second, a third, and a fourth group G1-G4 in the order of inserting the metal fine wire, the reduction rate of the dices 45-47 belong to the fourth group is set to be 2.5-6.0%, the average reduction rate of the dices 41, 42 belong to the second group is set to be two times or more of the average reduction rate belong to the fourth group of the dices, the reduction rate of the dices 43, 44 belong to the third group is set so as to be gradually reduced as the diameter of the metal fine wire is reduced. |
