PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for drying coating film formed on the surface of a PET film, capable of drying a coating film containing an organic solvent in a shorter time than before without causing compressive stress on dried coated film.SOLUTION: A PET film 1 having a surface coated with a coating film 2 containing an organic film thereon is irradiated with infrared rays having a main wavelength of not more than 3.5 μm from an infrared heater 13 of such a structure that the outer periphery of a filament 14 is covered with a plurality of pipes 15, 16 absorbing infrared rays of not less than 3.5 μm and a flow path 17 for cooling fluid is formed between the plurality of pipes to efficiently dry the coating film 2 while the PET film 1 is maintained at a low temperature. |
