The present invention relates to systems which prevent stolen or lost cameras from being used against their real owners. The objective of this invention is to provide a system and method which enable to detect lost or stolen cameras in the case that they are used in a determined area. Another objective of this invention is to provide a system and method wherein it is guaranteed that a lost or stolen camera which is detected to be used is prohibited.
